Seth Meyers Says He's NOT Replacing Regis Philbin on 'Kelly' But...

Ever since Regis Philbin stepped down as co-host from ABC morning show “Live!” in November, the show has since become “Live With Kelly!” and has featured a revolving door of potential co-hosts.

Some were better than others (Neil Patrick Harris you were excellent!) and others not so much (Paula Deen? You’re not a man!).

However, the show has finally shortlisted its potential new co-hosts and it’s a three way tie between football legend Michael Strahan, "SNL" Weekend Update host Seth Meyers and opera singer Josh Groban.

It seems like Strahan is a fan favorite, because he’s huge but cuddly and has an adorable gap-tooth. I had no idea Josh Groban was a front runner, but apparently his too long hair and man-child appeal is going over well with housewives.

But the guy to beat is funnyman Seth Meyers. He’s hosting with Kelly all week long and have many assuming that it’s because he’s soon to be announced as the new co-host.

Well, Meyers himself set the record straight to, “No, no, no, no, no,” Meyers told the Florida paper over the phone, “I know [Regis’s replacement] is a very important thing down there, but right now, what I would say to you: I’m really in love with the job I have. I’m very excited to be going back [to “SNL”] for the election season, which is always fun.”

Very true, if Seth joined “Live!” he’d have to ditch his duties at “SNL” where he is both head writer AND the sole host of the Weekend Update segment. Then they’d have to go on a hunt to find a weekend update host, but nobody would really care, because nobody watches “SNL” anyways.

What were we talking about? Oh yeah, Regis Philbin’s replacement on “Live With Kelly!”

It’s NOT Seth Meyers, but it probably is. I’m just saying. I don’t know, but his comment definitely wasn’t a denial.
