Selena Gomez sheds her good-girl image in a new Funny Or Die parody of erotic novel “50 Shades Of Grey.” Except it’s not so much scandalous as it is hilarious.
The parody is called “Fifty Shades of Blue” and where “Grey” packs the heat, this one packs the “lols.”
Selena plays a young girl who hires Carl Blue (played by comedian Nick Kroll) to paint the interior of her house a shade of light blue. She quickly becomes infatuated with this strange new man…Carl Blue, a painter. And when I say painter, I mean, like the kind that paint walls in houses, not like the angsty artsy type.
Every stroke of Carl Blue’s paintbrush is like ecstasy to Selena. Too bad Carl Blue is gross, crass, coughs with his tongue out, and is totally not in to Gomez.
“I can’t believe he’s showing me the inside of his van, how many other women has he opened up to like this?” says Selena before trying to seductively bite her lip.
Carl Blue responds, “Why are you biting your lip like that? Watch out, you’ll start bleeding.”
When Carl Blue finishes his paint job he hands her the bill.
“I didn’t want him to go,” says Selena off-screen, “I felt a pang in my stomach. I’ve never felt like this about a man before.”
She then hands him back the invoice, and Carl Blue deadpans, “You did not sign it, you just put your phone number and hugs and kisses. For a girl that doesn’t talk at all, you have full-on creeped me out. This has been bizarre.”
