Secret Life Of The American Teenager Gets Renewed

There’s no doubt about it! The country is obsessed with stories about knocked-up teens! So it’s no surprise that The Secret Life of the American Teenager got picked up for another season. While so many shows are getting canned left and right, it’s almost a miracle to stay on the air more than one or two seasons.

But ABC Family had no doubt about renewing this show. VP of Programming Kate Juergens says, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager has really struck a chord not just with our Millennial audience, but with viewers across the board. The success of this show goes directly to creator Brenda Hampton's telling of this heartfelt story and is backed by the standout performances of our talented cast."

The show has had record ratings since it premiered last summer. Let’s see if they can match those numbers the second time around! And now that Molly Ringwald is pregnant in real life, and they’re writing it into her storyline, things should get good!
