R&B singer Sean Kingston is left in critical but stable condition after his jet ski crashed into a bridge in Miami on Sunday. Let’s hope the pop star recovers fully and quickly from this frightening accident.
This isn’t the first time that a celeb has been involved in a scary accident.
Mariah Carey fell onstage while performing in Singapore in September 2010, not altogether alarming, except she was preggers and needed to be hospitalized afterwards! The good news is, we all know how that story turned out, Mariah gave birth to healthy twins in April while she belted, “Always Be My Baby.” Joking about that last part.
In March, singer Jewel was involved in a car crash while she was also pregnant. A fire truck totaled the passenger side of her car; thankfully both Jewel and baby were fine afterwards.
Stephen Moyer, True Blood” star and my favorite vampire (sorry RPatz), was racing in the 35th Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, ran it into the tire barrier and flipped the car. Fortunately, he was not injured and he managed to score the highest for his individual lap and won $15,000 for his charity “Racing for Kids.”
When Shia Lebeouf broke his fingers in 2008 during a car accident, it was so serious that Michael Bay almost shut down production on “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and eventually had to re-write the rest of the script to accommodate why Shia was suddenly wearing a cast.
On a less crippling and slightly funny note. After Tiger Woods was discovered to be cheating, his wife Elin smashed the windows of his SUV with a golf club. A golf club! Oh the irony, talk about being beat by the hand that feeds you.
