In this sequel, Sidney returns to her hometown as the last stop on her book tour, where she reconnects with her old friends..including the ghostface killer!!!
Scream 4 is in theaters April 15.

Ten years have passed, and Sidney Prescott, who has put herself back together thanks in part to her writing, is visited by the Ghostface Killer.
Scream Director on Courteney-David Split: We Had No Idea
Scream 4 stars an ensemble cast of David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Nico Tortorella and Erik Knudsen.
Scream 4 is set to hit theaters on April 15, 2011.
According to Star, Jen is rumored to be joining her friend Courteney Cox for the film. An insider told the mag, “Jen will play a woman who’s killed off in the opening sequence, a trademark of the franchise — as a favor to BFF and Scream actress Courteney. The role will be similar to Drew Barrymore's killer part in the first film.”

"Scream has always been an important part of Courteney’s life, and she wanted Jennifer to be a part of the production,” the insider added.
We talked with Courteney at the Women In Film awards where she was being honored last night, and Jennifer even showed up at the last minute to support her BF!
We asked if she could tell us anything about Scream 4, and Cox told Hollyscoop exclusively, “Nothing. If I told you one thing I would actually be killed right here on the spot. By a ghost face and a knife.”
Sounds like she has something to hide! We love this idea, and hope this Jennifer rumor is true!

Production on Scream 4 will begin in April or May of next year. It will be the first film of a new trilogy and Wes Craven is in talks to direct once again. Campbell is joining returning stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
Scream 4 is intended to be a younger version of the Scream trilogy. So expect a whole slew of new faces for the next three installments!
There was talk of them joining the cast of the sequel to the franchise, but nothing had been set in stone.
David told reporters today, "We are going to be doing Scream 4. Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct."
David recalled that it was the original Scream that brought him and Courteney together. He said, "I fell in love with my wife on Scream, so the opportunity to bring [Dewey] back to life and for my wife to play that really bitchy character again, it's just going to be really fun. It's just great."
David wouldn’t dish on any script details, but he did say he hopes Neve Campbell gets on board as well. He said, "I hope Neve does it. I really hope so."
