After about five years of teasing us, Marvel has just released the first semi-extended scene from The Avengers.
It features Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, also known as Natasha Romanoff. In the clip, Johansson's character--a master assassin--takes out about five guys while she’s tied to a chair.
I think she actually knocks one of them over using only the force generated from her boob jiggles. What I’m getting at is—it’s not very realistic. But then again, I’m arguing the realism of a movie that’s about superheroes, so you can pretty much ignore everything I just said. I'm just really excited about this movie.
Marvel is ahead of a release date that’s a month away, so they’ve been promoting like crazy, releasing clips and spots daily. Just yesterday, Disney premiered two television spots. They featured action-packed scenes with Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Scarlett Johansson took on the role of Black Widow in Iron Man 2, and says she looked forward to putting on the costume again.
"I love her. So putting on the outfit is like, 'Ah, the old familiar friend.' You have all this history to fall back on,” Scarlett said.
She describes her character as someone that’s “all business.”
“She’s just a machine. You can’t get her down,” Scarlett says.
The film will have its world premiere on April 11 in Los Angeles, before it finally hits theaters on May 4.
