Report: Scarlett Johannson Offered Big Bucks For 'Avengers' Sequel

If Scarlett Johansson is coming back as Black Widow in the sequel to Marvels blockbuster hit, The Avengers, she is reportedly going to get paid some serious money to kick some serious ass!

According to The Sun, a source revealed that Johansson has been offered a “record breaking” $20 million to beat up on dudes and whatever other alien creatures may fall from the sky. And naturally, she is going to look hot while doing it.

Watch out Forbes list of "Highest Paid Actresses," Scarlett is gunning for you!

The list, released last month had Kristen Stewart as Hollywood’s biggest female earner in the last year with an annual salary of $34.5 million. But even her highest price tag per film is a paltry $12.5 million.

An impressive sum for sure, but with the release of the men’s list last week, there’s still apparently a glass ceiling for the girls. Tom Cruise, the number one male earner, topped out at $75 million. That’s dollars, people.

And though the others actors salaries for the follow up to The Avengers, have yet to be revealed, we know that Robert Downey Jr. made $50 million for the first installment.

It’s highly unlikely that Scarlett’s check will kick that in the butt, so the boys still win on the superhero front… for now. But regardless, $20 million is an impressive sum.

Not that these people don’t have the cash to throw around. So far, The Avengers has grossed $1.355 billion dollars.

Whatever. Let’s stop talking about amounts we can’t even comprehend, and get back to something tangible—girl power!

Johansson, who didn’t even rank in the top ten for 2012's rich chicks, only needs a couple more hits to swoop up the number one spot.

Take that Bella! You might finally have something legit to pout about!
