Actor Nick Stahl, best known for playing John Connor in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines has been reported as missing to the LAPD.
Hollyscoop spoke with Detective Fasso of the LAPD Missing Persons Unit, who said that, “the family has requested privacy from the media so they will not be going on camera or releasing a statement...however, they do understand that media attention has played a big part in finding many people that have gone missing...so they are confirming that he is indeed missing.”
No formal statement will be issued to the press.
The actor's estranged wife, Rose Murphy, filed the missing persons report for Stahl on Monday, May 14 after having not heard from him since the Wednesday, May 9. The couple—separated since January—have one daughter.
Detective Fasso also confirmed that, “they have received some leads and clues as to his whereabouts,” but he could not give any more details.
Murphy has alluded that Stahl's spiraling behavior involves drug abuse as well as a new found affection for the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. Which apparently is an actual place, not just urban lore. It’s even on Google Maps… So let’s hope for the sake of his family that he won’t be too hard to find.
"T3" is critically regarded as the worst installment of the Terminator franchise, an unfortunate association that overshadows many of Stahl’s finer works: The Thin Red Line, Bully, and the acclaimed series Carnivale, to name just a few.
