Hollyscoop at 6th Annual A.L.S Project Benefit

This past weekend Hollywood came out to support the 6th Annual Project A.L.S. BENEFIT. The benefit helped raise essential funds and awareness for the neuromuscular disorder, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. We caught up with stars like as Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Ricky Lake among others that came out to show their support of this great cause sponsored by Departures magazine.

The event took place at the legendary Paramount Studios New York Street back lot where guests enjoyed New York-style food, arts, carnival style games and much more.

The A.L.S. project was founded in 1998, by Jenifer Estess to contribute research in the areas of genetics, stem cells, gene therapy, accelerated drug testing, and disease pathways. More information on Project A.L.S can be found at www.projectals.org.

Check out our interviews from the event on Hollyscoop TV .

i am glad to see a story written about this cause, i had a family m ember with this disease and am so upset that there is no cure found yet. About the rest of the comments its pretty pathetic, i agree with anonymous this is why this disease doesnt get enough respect because people like to put down unimportant things rather than facing the facts that people are dying from a disease. Get real people.
