Sarah Palin Says Daughter Is Pregnant

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin finally caved to internet rumors that she was hiding her daughters pregnancy, and announced that her 17 year-old daughter is pregnant.

Over the weekend, liberal bloggers claimed that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her teenage daughter. Sites like Daily Kos and ireport.com published a TON of details suggesting that Palin had lied about her pregnancy.

In a bid to clear up internet rumors, Palin released the following statement:

"We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us," the Palins' statement said.

"Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support," the Palins said.

"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media, respect our daughter and Levi's privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates," the statement concluded.

The McCain camp claims that they were aware of Palin's daughter’s pregnancy but decided that it would not disqualify her in any way. Mother and daughter both pregnant in the same year? Palin: She has next to no experience in government. When ask about national security back ground or knowledge regarding foreign affairs the best Ms. McCain could come up with was “she lives right by Russia.” She has only traveled outside the country twice in her life. She was associated with to a 3rd party which among other things supports allowing Alaska to secede from the United States and feels the only thing wrong with the John Birch Society was it was to liberal! Her husband “First Dude” was registered as a member of this party between 1994 and 2004! She tried to have a local Librarian fired for not banning books. She used her political office to try to have fired and smear a state trooper who is in a custody battle with her sister. She is being investigated for this and is worried enough about the outcome to have recently “lawyered up.” Palin currently has pretty messy family issues. She recently gave birth to a son with Downs Syndrome and has a 17 year old daughter who is pregnant. Ironically she has fought sex education in the schools and availability of contraception for minors. I am glad she was able to make the choice to carry her disabled son to term…we all need the right to make our own choices!!! She believes that for 9 months a woman has no right to control what is happening to her own body and is basically nothing more than a baby container. She does not believe in a women’s right to choose to end a pregnancy, even if she has been raped. She reminds me of Lynn Spears - Britney's mom. She is thrusting her children into the spot light for her own gain. I understand her daughter Bristol and her boy friend Levi are dropping out of their senior high school year to become poster children in her pro-life (anti-choice) cause. She does not believe human pollution has anything to do with global warming (even Bush has had to back down on this one). Is so in bed with big oil she is willing to watch as the polar bear and beluga whales become extinct, rather than slow the possibility of drilling. She would open up one of the last great wilderness on earth to exploitation by oil interests. She laughed when hearing a fellow Republican woman being called a bitch in public (she and the woman had disagreed on several issues) I guess this does make her on par with McCain who thinks it is alright to call your wife a cunt in public. She has been repeatedly described as stubborn with a vicious streak – even by family and friends. (nick name Sarah Barracuda) Has an undergraduate degree in Journalism for a small obscure university.It took her 5-6 years to manage to graduate and she attended 5 different colleges... She did fund raising for Sen. Ted Stevens (think major Alaskan corruption) and accepted money from the same sources as Sen. Ted Stevens. She pushed for the “bridge to no where – the flipped when convenient to do so. She has been named Sen. John McCain’s VP selection for the Republican ticket. Sen. McCain is 72 years old and has reoccurring cancer as part of his health history. One can not help but question Mr. McCain’s judgment regarding her selection. John McCain has made a calculated choice in selecting his VP, that has unfortunately put an undereducated, inexperienced right wing nut case a “heart beat” away from becoming President at a time when our Nation faces some of the most complex and volatile issues it has in decades. How can we even pretend she is ready to lead when her own party does not think she is even ready to interview???

What this says to me is that not only did McCain try to make a statement by picking a woman, he was stupid enough not to do his own homework. I have no ills against a woman who is ready to help her teenage daughter raise her child, what i have a problem with is a woman who because she chose to have 5 children thinks she has the right to tell other women what to do with their body especially in cases of rape and incest or the mothers life is threatned. She's a phony who didn't take the time to look into her own childrens closet but is worried about what is goin on in other woman's bodies and homes. Get a life lady, go monitor your own children and get off the McSame Lame Express. It is going to be a wash this Nov 4, not only with Obama and Biden take the white house but they will clean it up too.Any woman stupid enough to vote for McSame Lame because he picked a woman, who doesn't believe in what majority of women believe today..a womans right to choose is simply ignorant to the facts of this election. This country is so afraid that a black man will have power, and it makes me wonder why. What do you think black people will put white folks in chains and make them slaves..get over it and grow the hell up. This is 2008 and we have long since proved what ignorant folks like to believe that we are just as if not smarter than anyone standing next to us, we are capable of running this country. We can't do any worse than Bully Bush, and if you keep playing yourself like you did when Gore was running and u thought his ties to Clinton hurt him, make the mistake of voting for McSame Lame, and you indeeed won't have to worry about the black man or your fear, because McSame Lame will make sure this country is turned into Vietnam. 72 and no clue...but he's ready on day one, yeah right.

Can we have some respect for the daughter? This is a humiliating experiance for anyone to go through. it happens everyday young woman are having sex way to early, and babies are the end result. I think that this is embarassing and hard enough we shouldn't pick apart Sarah Palin and her family for it. I think it makes them more real like us normal everyday folks. However I do agree something is fishy....

"i dont believe anything that comes from mccains camp" You don’t believe anything that comes out of the McCain camp only because he hasn’t rolled his family out into the ‘talk show circuit’ like 'Access Hollywood' (like Oboma) to let you know how to exploit their children while all along asking not to bring children into the campaign. I rather have a not-so-honest politician than a two faced one. Maybe though with a Democrat spending so much tax payers money on education you will learn how to use capitalization on both the first letter of a sentence and a proper name. Or at least use a computer to run spell check.
