McCain Camp Thinks Tina Fey Is Sexist

September 15, 2008

Tina Fey
Was Tina Fey dead on as Sarah Palin on the SNL premiere or what?! We wish she would just come back to the cast! But that's not what McCain's camp thinks though.

In response to Tina's impression, McCain spokeswoman Carly Fiorina called Fey's portrayal "sexist" and "disrespectful." She said, "Just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance."

Oh, and Amy wasn't too shabby playing Hillary the boner-shrinker either. What do you think of the skit? Right on or disrespectful?

Isn't this the same guy (McCain) that calls women C_NTS? Have we not heard that word straight out of his mouth? Isn't he the same guy that said his wife should be in some beauty contest...???? The Mccain party wants our sympathy so bad, like they are the victims... WE will be the victims if he is elected President, we will all suffer.

i'm sorry, but sometimes people need to just sit back and laugh. tina was dead on. and i think if they get pissed about it maybe they should look at themselves and think "what can i do to change the way people view me?" instead of throwing a fit.

Mr. McCain, Think hard. What were your comments once against Ms. Clinton's daughter? I bet you approve of your golden-boy Rush L. who trashes any woman who does not meet his babe-appeal-meter... and tries for force his view of looks (not mine) as a babe-ticket... Tina Fey is only showing you guys the mirror.

McCain.. let me laugh. Your jokes are so funny... I bet you and your party were looking in the mirror strong and hard when you were stating this: 1) Why did Ms. Palin allow "hottest Gov" articles, bumper stickers (from her own party) and in the convention, had the Hottest VP buttons? She could have held a press to indicate: I do not wish to be viewed as an object- please stop with these hottest thing. 2) Were you not, yourself, making "ugly" statements against women that were 18 in addition to Reno? What is that? non-sexist? 3) Your own Rush L. boy had made horrible comments against one woman of a Dem party on her looks and tries to force the "good looks" of your party member as a babe-ticket. Honestly! It's the godesses/doormat syndrome of the Reb party to sure women... 4) The media reports of Ms. Palin's "rock star image" is mainly media mileage manufacture-- presented by the Reb party-- actual media is few and far between, in fact. Sorry to disappoint you. Pamela Anderson is not what's happening for your party member... unlike what you guys had figured..

Well said, Cassandra! I couldn't agree with you more! Especially about the McCain campaign playing the victim card...as if they're the kindest people on the planet. Very funny skit! :) Well-portrayed by Tina Fey the Magnificent.

As usual, the McCain camp is grasping at straws. To suggest that the obviously feminist-minded Fey was being "sexist" in her portrayal of Palin is both pathetic and ignorant. Perhaps the McCain campaign would like to send the message that men giving women a legitimate hard time about their credentials (in a world where both men and women are supposed to be equal) is unfair. But to suggest that a female comedian is sexist for mimicking a female politician just as all male politicians have been is just juvenile. As a woman, I must say, if women wish to run for politics alongside men, they must be willing to hold themselves to the same standards as their male counterparts. The McCain campaign really needs to stop playing the victim card.
