Two local police chiefs and a mayor's son were arrested last night in Ohio in connection with the ongoing investigation regarding Sarah
Sarah Jessica Parker’s surrogate.
They’ve been under fire since last month, suspected of planning a break-in to the woman’s home, and then selling information to tabloids.
Martins Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter, Bridgeport Police Chief Chad Dojack and Bruce Callarik, the son of Bridgeport’s mayor and Dojack's father-in-law, were booked into the Belmont County jail around 9PM Wednesday.
All three are scheduled to be arraigned in court on Friday, and the charges are unknown at this point.
Last month Chief Barry told reporters, "I'm 100 percent innocent in this and my department is as well. In the long run I'll make sure in my job no one will ever be falsely accused again because its not a good feeling. I can honestly say that.”
Barry and Chief Dojack have both stayed on the job throughout the investigation, and some residents think they should continue on the job until they are proven not guilty. Others believe these arrests were coming ever since the investigation began.
This will interesting to hear what the charges are tomorrow. And very sketchy if evidence is found against these police officers! We hope they’re telling the truth.
