Samuel L. Jackson

Somebody get this motherf-ckin' money in my motherf-ckin' pockets!

Samuel L. Jackson has appeared in over 100 movies, which have raked in a total of $7.4 billion. This is according to the Guinness World Records. So I guess his saying yes to every role paid off. Literally. He has officially been named the highest grossing actor of all time.

Jackson beat out Tom Cruise, Will Smith and Matt Damon. The honor comes from Jackson making movies like Jurassic Park, which made $914 million. And he knew better than to say no to Star Wars. His portrayal of Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequels helped the franchise rake in $2 billion. Star Wars nerds helped, too.

In comparison, Matt Damon's movies have grossed 2.062 billion, with his highest grossing being

What do Emma Watson and Samuel L. Jackson have in common? They were both named the highest-grossing actors of the decade! With Jackson, we’re not surprised, but for 19-year old Watson, that’s quite a feat!

The Guinness Book of World Records announced today that Watson tops the list of ladies for grossing $5.4 billion in global box office receipts in the past ten years.

In fact, Watson's overall work actually earned even more in ticket sales than her male Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

Guinness names Samuel L. Jackson as the highest-grossing actor with a total gross of $7.42 billion, but Entertainment Weekly claims the real winner is Orlando Bloom, who garnered $6.5 billion in ticket sales in mega-franchises the Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lord of the Rings. We’ll leave it to the experts to battle it out!

Emma is already so popular, and will likely continue to grow as an actress. She will next appear in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 in 2010 and 2011.

Samuel L. Jackson won’t have to worry about getting work for a while. He just signed a 9-picture deal with Marvel to play the role of Nick Fury in a series of their movies.

Just weeks ago it sounded like Jackson was on the outs and wasn’t going to play the role in Iron Man 2, But they must have come to some sort of agreement to have gone from zero to nine!

The movies Jackson will now be appearing in are Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers, and all of their sequels. This is really generous considering the bad rap Marvel has been getting lately.

Terrence Howard couldn’t work out a good contract with them, and was replaced by Don Cheadle. And we’re heard talk about Mickey Rourke joining the cast, but he’s been in negotiations for two months without still having a contract. We’re just glad Marvel signed Jackson for so many movies so we don’t have the same thing happening that did to Terrence Howard.
Samuel L. Jackson has just landed the lead role in the remake of classic cult film The Last Dragon. He’ll play Sho’nuff, the villain, in Berry Gordy’s 1985 remake.

The plot will be along the same lines of the original, following young martial arts student Leroy Green in his quest through the streets of New York to achieve the highest level of martial arts accomplishment, known as the Last Dragon. Those who achieve the high ranking possess the Glow, making them the greatest fighter alive.

Jackson says, "I'm a huge fan of the original and look forward to bringing Sho'Nuff into the 21st century.”

The original The Last Dragon, starring Taimak, The Cosby Show star Keshia Knight Pulliam and William H. Macy, grossed $26 million at the U.S. box office. Pretty good for back in the day. This one could possibly do that in one weekend!
