Samantha Harris

The new co-host for Dancing with the Stars will finally be announced this coming Monday! The rumors have been flying ever since Samantha Harris announced her resignation from the show.

According to Access Hollywood, the announcement will be made on Monday’s Good Morning America between 7 and 9am.

Some of the people rumored to be in the running include Melissa Rycroft, Melanie Brown, Nancy O’Dell, Vanessa Minnillo, and Ashlan Gorse.

There’s also a possibility of having a rotating guest judge, similar to what American Idol did before permanently landing Ellen Degeneres.

Who do you think can pull off the job?! We’re thinking Mel B can add a little “spice” to the show!

Samantha Harris is saying bye bye to the show that turned her into a household name. Sam just broke the news that she's leaving Dancing with the Stars in order to pursue other projects.

“[DWTS] could not have been more of a dream job,” she tells People magazine. “I loved every single second of it and I’ve made lifelong friends at the show.”

So if it's a "dream job," why is she leaving? She's going to focus on "other projects," which includes doing correspondent work for The Insider.

“I interned at Entertainment Tonight 15 years ago, the summer after my sophomore year at Northwestern and I dreamed of working in the same space as hosts Mary Hart and Mark Steines and now I’m living that dream,” says Harris.

Dancing With the Stars won't be the same without Samantha, we really hope she reconsiders! Who would you like to see replace her on the hit show?

Samantha Harris has come a long way since her days at E!. She is headed to Broadway! She’s been tapped as the next Roxie Hart in the production of Chicago!

The Dancing With the Stars host will make her Broadway debut this summer.

Harris will perform for six weeks on the show, beginning July 7th in New York, and then continuing in Chicago's national tour in Greenville, South Carolina's Peace Center, August 18-23.

This isn’t Samantha’s first time on the stage. She previously appeared on stage in Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python and Reefer Madness.

This makes Samantha the third DWTS person to join Chicago. Both Lisa Rinna and John O’Hurley went on to appear in the production as well.

Samantha Harris can ad another hosting gig to her resume. She’s saying goodbye to E!, and joining the team at The Insider. And don’t worry Dancing With The Stars fans, she’ll still stay on as the show host for that as well.

The Insider’s executive producer says of having her on board, “We are thrilled to welcome Samantha to The Insider team. She is a smart, focused, beautiful addition to our family that comes with an incredible Hollywood resume. The work she has done and the rapport she has earned is something to be admired.”

Samantha will be a correspondent for the show, and will fill in for Lara Spencer when she’s out or on assignment. Congrats on the new gig! We think Samantha was outgrowing E! a little, so this is a great move.
