Salma Hayek Wanted a Boy

Little Valentina Paloma Pinault may be the luckiest girl in the world (she's the heir to almost every designer) but her mama Salma Hayek actually wanted a boy instead.

She tells Glamour magazine, "I have something to confess, I wanted a boy. Probably because I was afraid. I think women suffer a bit more than boys, and there is always conflict between mothers and daughters.

"But now that she's here, I'm so happy she's a girl. And I can't imagine there ever being conflict between us, because I'm in a state of innocence where I love everything she does."

I think all of these babies - JLo's, Britney's, Cristina's, Nicole's will need the most intensive therapy money can buy. These are not parents, they are spoiled, unrealistic, selfish people, just wanting something else they can destroy.

I love that picture of Salma with her baby...but I don't think she should have aired her "confession" about wanting a boy. Someday her little girl is going to grow up and hear that and it may rankle...discretion is the better part of motherliness! Take it from a 56 year old guy whose mother was anything but subtle about her emotions...
