Women are waiting longer and longer to have children these days but Salma Hayek wasn’t about to wait too long.
The 45-year-old Oscar-nominated Mexican-American beauty says that before she met the man of her dreams, she considered adopting a child.
In the May issue of Marie Claire @Work magazine Hayek confesses, "I was trying to figure out how to have a child on my own,” adding, “I came to terms with saying, '(Love) might not happen,' and I have to be OK with that.'"
Hold the phone…
Salma, if you’re still looking, adopt me! I can sorta cook, I’ll clean, and I’m totally okay with how you get after nightfall in “From Dusk ‘Til Dawn.” Think about it. Just saying…
Hayek married French billionaire François-Henri Pinault in 2009. The couple met in March, 2007 and shortly after, Hayek gave birth to their daughter Valentina.
Other than suitcases of money, velvet-lined toilet paper and probably his own wine vineyard, what does some rich French guy really have to offer? Hayek admits, he really wasn’t her type.
“Someone came along whom I never would have pictured or thought I would have wanted,” said Hayek. “He was completely out of my box.”
A box other men can only fantasize about…
The actress feels like the luckiest person in the world. She cites Pinault as “the best think that ever happened” to both her personal and professional lives.
