Surely you remember Sacha Baron Cohen's arrival to the Oscars this past February where, dressed as his character in the upcoming film, the actor "powdered" the red carpet and Ryan Seacrest’s tux with what was said to be Kim Jong Il’s ashes.
With the film's May 11 release date just around the corner, Cohen - aka General Aladeen – can’t help but keep popping up in the media with promos for the much-anticipated comedy.

Sacha Baron Cohen spills ashes on Ryan Seacrest: For some reason they let Sacha Baron Cohen through the velvet ropes at this years 2012 Oscars, knowing full well that he must have something up his sleeve. The Academy says that the actor is a welcome guest but they don’t want him in character. Specifically, they don’t want him portraying General Aladeen, the character from his latest comedy, ‘The Dictator.’

In The Dictator, Cohen plays a dictator/tyrant not unlike Gaddafi and Saddam and the trailer opens with footage of President Obama and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton talking about some horrible tyrant controlling some unknown foreign country for several decades and your first reaction is "How'd they get Barack Obama in this movie" but then also "Oh shoot, is this a comedy?"

According to Deadline, the film will hit screens some time in 2011. The movie will follow the British rock group during their prime years all the way to their big Live Aid appearance in 1985.
Queen was a very controversial band and Mercury was the most controversial of the band. He died back in 1991 from complications of AIDS.
“Queen is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and a music brand all unto itself,” GK Film’s Graham King said in a statement Thursday. “Freddie Mercury was an awe-inspiring performer, so with Sacha in the starring role couple with Peter’s screenplay and the support of Queen, we have the perfect combination to tell the real story behind their success.”
This is the perfect role for Sacha Baron Cohen because he actually resembles Mercury
