Ryan Seacrest has yet another job to add to his resume! He’s just announced plans for a brand new reality show he’s created with British chef Jamie Oliver. The show, which will air on ABC, will be an unscripted series that gives healthy makeovers to entire cities.
Jamie Oliver will travel to the unhealthiest places in America and find ways to use nearby resources to improve eating habits. The show is loosely based on Oliver’s school lunch project in the U.K. His 2005 series Jamie’s School Dinners convinced educators into banning junk food in schools.
Ryan said on his show today, "I couldn't do what I do in terms of my schedule if I didn't eat right and exercise right. As a kid I was chubby, and I'm a firm believer that the fuel we put into our body results in a healthy lifestyle. Jamie's going to come over here, roll up his sleeves and use the resources of each town to help condition living habits to make it a better and healthier place."
We can’t picture a chubby little Seacrest! The network is really excited about the new programming. ABC’s Vicki Drummer says, "Jamie has been through this mission before. He will be an advocate for change, but not act like, 'I'm from Britain and you Americans are fat.' I think he's really equipped to make a change and knock on the right doors."
So which city will be first?? We’re banking on somewhere in the Midwest! For once, LA and New York won’t be the backdrop for this show!
