Ryan Reynolds. biography
Born on October 23, 1976, in Vancouver, Canada, Ryan Rodney Reynolds jumpstarted his acting career playing Billy in the Nickelodeon TV series Fifteen (1990) and later earned his first leading role in the drama Ordinary Magic (1993).
Many TV appearances soon followed, including a substantial role in the TV series Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place (1998 – 2001), prior to the aspiring star landing his big break as a carefree, unambitious college student in National Lampoon’s hit comedy Van Wilder (2002).
Ryan continued to show off his natural comedic talent with memorable performances in the The In-Laws (2003) alongside Michael Douglas and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004). He then began to tap into his dramatic side and show his versatility in the fantasy flick Blade: Trinity as well as the horror thriller The Amityville Horror (2005).
That same year, Ryan returned to his comedic roots in the comedy hit Waiting . . . and the romantic comedy Just Friends alongside Amy Smart and Anna Faris. The following year, he carried a badge in the crime drama Smokin’ Aces and played a political consultant in the 2008 dramedy Definitely, Maybe.
In 2009, Ryan continued to increase his popularity with his quick wit in the dramedy Adventureland and the romantic comedy The Proposal opposite Sandra Bullock. He also played a superhero in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) prior to being buried alive inside a coffin in the 2010 drama thriller Buried.
A year later, Ryan showed off his superhuman powers in the action flick Green Lantern before reuniting with the comedy genre opposite Jason Bateman in The Change-Up. He then starred alongside Denzel Washington in the crime mystery Safe House (2012).
Ryan’s most recent projects include, the animated comedy The Croods (2013), the action comedy R.I.P.D. Soon after parting ways with Morissette, Ryan began dating actress Scarlett Johansson. They announced their engagement in May of 2008, and went on to get married on September 27 of that year in British Columbia. But, the two later simultaneously filed for divorce in December 2010 – the divorce was finalized in July 2011.

Ryan reportedly began developing an off-screen romance with Sandra Bullock after playing each other’s love interest in The Proposal. According to sources, the two celebrated the 2011 New Year together and were all over each other.

Rumors that Ryan was dating actress Blake Lively began circulating after they co-starred in Green Lantern (2011). The two never officially confirmed the rumors, but set the record straight when they purchased a New York home together in June 2012 and got married on September 9, 2012, in South Carolina.
