Ryan Dunn Passenger Identified

The passenger in the fatal car crash that killed Ryan Dunn has been identified. Dunn was accompanied by friend, Zachary Hartwell. Hartwell was a 30-year-old stuntman who was a production assistant on ‘Jackass 2’ and had a small role in Bam Margera’s 2009 flick, “Minghags.”

Hartwell was pictured in the photo that Dunn posted to his Twitter just hours before their untimely death. The photo depicts Dunn, Hartwell and another friend drinking and smoking at Philadelphia bar, Barnaby’s of America.

The Porsche 911 GT3 they were driving hit a guardrail on Pennsylvania’s Route 322 before launching off the road and into a tree where the car burst into flames.

Currently, the tragedy has been labeled as an ‘Auto Accident’ rather than a ‘DUI’ as Dunn’s autopsy is currently underway to discover if alcohol played a factor in the death of the two young men.

TMZ reports that a source stated Dunn was ‘not too drunk to drive.’ But according to another person, Dunn was ‘wasted’ and ‘had a lot to drink.’

MTV president released the statement about Dunn’s passing, “He made us all laugh and had the tireless enthusiastic approach to life of your favorite middle school friend.”
