Yesterday, hundreds of friends and family of Ryan Dunn held a private memorial service for the ‘Jackass’ star.
Some of Dunn’s famous friends in attendance included his costars Bam Margera and Johnny Knoxville and the stars of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney as well as Bam’s parents, Phil and April Margera.
It was a four-hour celebration of Dunn’s life at a funeral home in West Chester, Pennsylvania though the family plans to have him buried in Ohio where he was born.
Friends of Dunn who couldn’t be at the service included the Kings of Leon, who remembered the stuntman during their concert in London on Wednesday night. Singer Caleb Followill asked the audience to raise a glass to “a friend of ours who’s passed away, and then “This is for Ryan.”
The funeral will be held later this week with a public memorial to take place at a later date. Bam Margera told a reporter at the service, “I’ve never lost anybody that I care about, he’s my best friend.”
His obituary asks that instead of flowers, contributions should be sent to the charity, Teammate for kids.
