Reality TV contestant
Ryan Alexander Jenkins, who is labeled a "person of interest" in the murder of his model wife Jasmine Fiore, is said to have escaped to Canada by foot.
Sheriff's deputies in Washington State believe that Jenkins has escaped to Canada on foot and despite previous reports, he is not cooperating with police during this investigation.
Jenkins, who was a contestant on
Megan Wants a Millionaire and
I Love Money 3 "was the last person seen with the victim when she was still alive," Buena Park, Calif., police Lt. Gary Worrall told People magazine. "That's suspicious to us," he added.
Over the weekend, the remains of Fiore, 28, were discovered stuffed inside a suitcase in a trash bin in Buena Park, California. A publicist for Jenkins reportedly told TMZ that Jenkins was going to consult with his attorney and cooperate with police, and is "is planning on meeting with them in the near future." But we now know that he never spoke to the police and is currently on the run.
According to TMZ, yesterday evening a witness reported seeing someone matching Jenkins' description driving a black BMW SUV with a boat in tow to the marina in Blaine, Washington. A short time later deputies found the boat and the SUV abandoned near the Canadian boarder.
Fiore's mother Lisa Lepore says her daughter married Jenkins in Las Vegas in March but had the marriage annulled in May. However, she says Jenkins convinced her daughter to take him back. She was last seen alive during a poker tournament in San Diego.
The U.S. Marshal’s Office and Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office initiated an air, water and ground search without locating Jenkins, but the search isn't over just yet!
