Celebrities will have to brace themselves when
Russell Brand takes the stage at the VMAs on September 13th. He’s known for picking on certain stars that are easy targets, and the Jonas Brothers are 3 of them!
Last year, Russell poked fun at the brothers for their purity rings and being virgins, and they won’t even be attending the show this year! But Nick claims they don’t hold it against Russell, and that it’s not the reason they won’t be attending the VMAs this year.
Nick Jonas tells the
BBC, "As far as his comments were concerned, what we said from the beginning was that he seemed to run out of material -- but if we're the butt of his jokes, it's kind of a compliment in a bizarre way.”
Nick adds that hosting the show is “great for him.” He says, "He has form and ultimately he does a great job. We hope he has a good time this year.”
Just because the Jonas Brothers aren’t attending, doesn’t make them safe! We’re sure Russell has something up his sleeve!
