English comedian and actor Russell Brand was born on June 4, 1975 in Grays, Essex, England. He made a name for himself as a stand-up comedian and presenter. Brand has also worked on the radio and literature. He has appeared in television series like Cruise of the Gods and Blessed.
Brand's big break came with his work in Forgetting Sarah Marshall in 2008. He will reprise his role as Aidous Snow in Get Him to the Greek, co-starring Jonah Hill. He recently hosted the MTV Music Awards and received mixed reviews because of his vulgarity and sexual innuendo. Brand essentially begged the audience and viewers to elect Barack Obama president.
