More Princess Diana Drama

There's more drama surrounding the alleged affair between Dodi Fayed and Princess Diana. Her letters to "Darling Dodi" were read Friday in London giving a glimpse of the passion of a new romance that ended in a car crash in Paris.

Is that really necessary? That's like reading your best friend's diary, in front of a million people. I can understand reading Anne Frank's journal, because it gave insight into a piece of history. But reading someone's personal love letters is only going to make Dodi's ex girlfriend feel like crap, and make Diana look like a tramp. So can we be over this please?

I avoid all of the stories on Princess Diana. I think all of this stuff reported in the media is tasteless. She has been dead ten years, let her rest in eternal peace.

I honestly believe this situation is really similar to Anne Frank. Before she died and was relegated to history Anne Frank's diary contained many personal and provate insights that were probably never meant to be seen by the mass public. Anne Frank's diary is less about history and more about the human spirit in times of turmoil. So if one can be shared then I see no reason why the other shouldn't be. I'm not condoning or condemning either situation though.
