Rosie Seeks Revenge

May 25, 2007

What would a day without some Rosie controversy be? Although Rosie and Elizabeth's on-air battle is over, the war has just begun.

According to the New York Post Rosie O'Donnell chief writer, Janette Barber, was escorted out of the ABC building on Thursday after she was caught drawing moustaches on pictures of Hasselbeck that hang in the View studios. Apparently, we're all back in junior high.

ABC confirmed in a statement that "photographs at The View's offices were defaced," and that "Rosie O'Donnell was not in the building. ABC Legal and Human Resources are investigating the matter."

If you missed Rosie and Elizabeth's on-air brawl, you can check it out HERE.

La Chat: "Your problem is that you took up a couple of classes and you think you know everything." What in the world is this statement supposed to do for your position? You know absolutely nothing about me other than I disagree with you. While I could go on provide background about myself, it would be pointless regarding the facts at hand regardless of how many classes I have taken because I'm not trying to use my education or resume to bolster my argument. La Chat: "You say " Sometimes Black is Black, White is White and sometimes gray is foolish. Well guess what you are living a a very gray world. One that I happened to have broken away from along time ago which is why I can see so much more then you. Someday you will realize this. Hope you can handle that moment when it comes your way. Again...what in the world? What is your point? You trot out some statement that sounds like you've been going through therapy to deal with reality and then go on to make the misguided assumption that I'm somehow not quite as enlightened as you. La Chat: "...why I can see so much more than you." Keep telling yourself that. It will help ease the pain when you are confronted with facts.

I used to adore Rosie. But, after all this unnecessary fueding maybe the show should be renamed "Feuding the View"? Rosie I think is going through menopause or something. She needs to control her anger and how she builds others blood pressures up. As for Elizabeth, she thinks she's a goody two shoe. She lucked out and married someone rich and famous, but it's not all about looks, it should be about brains and both her and Rosie needs to do more research on such important subjects as the war before they open their mouths. I think Rosie needs to be replaced with a gay man. Then we'd get the ratings up! I'm a straight, married woman, but I think we need a mix of views from a gay man to straight women, short, fat, pretty, intelligent but no dumb people. I hope the show does good in the upcoming months.

I am so glad Rosie is gone!! I have always liked Elizabeth and her morals are awesome. She has show strengh, courage, love, faithful through all this. There should be more "Christians" out there who stand up for what they believe in and not back down! Once again, I am so glad Rosie is gone! Now I can watch the show more often! I never could stand that women.. she thinks she is the best thing in the world when she is so misguided believeing that being gay is ok. I don't see how she was ever able to adopt kids! She will never be loved like she was when she had her own show years and years ago! Her 15 minutes is up!

Bush does not give a flying fuck about this country and the millions of people that risked their lives everyday fight so that he could profit from this war.

Another mature argument from someone who obviously can't handle any sort of competition or rebuttle.

La Chat: "Rosie was having a very well thought out discussion with plenty of thought and reason, and she is not insane." I did not say she WAS insane. I was saying that her arguments most often reach a point of insanity because they begin to leave out facts that are relevant to the discussion at hand. La Chat: "She does have a valid view point. If some foriengers came over into our country, and killed hundreds of people what would be the first thing anyone over here would think or say. They would say that this was a terrorist act." You have absolutely no concept of world history, do you? She said what she said and IT IS NOT a valid point of view...that we are the terrorists. When you are able to live in a rationally objective world, you will realize that. La Chat: "So to turn around and say that she is insane is ridiculious." Again, I did not say SHE was insane. I said her arguments reach the level where sanity is thrown out the window for insinuation and innuendo based on faulty reasoning and conclusions. La Chat: "Some people see the glass half empty and some see it half full, but the best person can see both sides, and intill that occurs their is nothing, but ignorance occurs. I not saying that your view point does not count. All I am saying is try to see all sides before you come to a judgement." Enough with all of the PC crap! It's not healthy for our children and it's certainly not useful for reaching rational conclusions. There are not always two equally good viewpoints about the same subject. While this is possible, it is hardly the norm. Sometimes, black is black and white is white...sometimes, gray equals foolishness. This "see all sides" crap is mindless rubbish! What makes you believe that I haven't made my conclusion by looking at both sides? Sometimes, we just need to call out the facts as they stand. It is totally acceptable to make judgements. Somehow, conventional wisdom twisted a verse in the Bible to mean that we aren't to make judgements on anything. This is hogwash! We are to make judgements where they are warranted. In the case of the verse, it's dealing with judging the state of one's salvation...a matter which is not left up to man. Geeze...get a spine!

La Chat, unfortunately, I think that your perspective is painting this in the most simplistic and revionist way possible. The reason we were there in the forst place was to act in enforcing the 1991 peace treaty, in result of Iraq's attempted annexation of Kuwait. Regardless of our motivation, we did not simply 'invade another country', as you put it. People may disagree as to whether this war was failed international governing, but the overly-simplistic mantra of many of the radical left have left many, who haven't given this much in-depth thought or lack true historical depth, with a warped perspective.

Actually Starfan21... Rosie was having a very well thought out discussion with plenty of thought and reason, and she is not insane. She does have a valid view point. So to turn around and say that she is insane is ridiculious. Rosie cannot handle a reasoned discussion. While this may be the case for many on both sides of the fence, she elevates it to the point of insanity. Apparently, like many these days, she believes that the loudest and last argument means that it was the best argument. She threw out the question that does lead a reasonable person to infer that she believes we are acting as nothing but terrorists in the case of Iraq. Case in point. Rosie’s citing of the 650K figure from a recent study tells me that she looked no further into the study than the post-invasion number. Rosie’s insinuation is that the US is responsible for all of these deaths and that all of the victims were innocents. What are a few things that Rosie fails to mention? * The estimated death count range of the report is between 400K and 900K. * The researchers did not qualify whether or not the death count was for an innocent, an insurgent, a fighter, a criminal, etc. It was not only for innocent men, women, and children. * The total percentage of violent deaths attributed to coalition (includes the full coalition…not just the US) action was 31%. Not 100% as Rosie insinuates. * 50K deaths are reported to have occurred without violence or due to normal accidents. These are just a few of the things Rosie doesn’t mention. She married herself to the 650K number and ran with it. She truly does need to stand on her own statements. It’s not Elisabeth’s responsibility to explain Rosie’s comments. Based on how she responds to disagreement, opposing Rosie is equivalent to being a close-minded religious nut…being bigoted…being unintelligent…you name it. For some reason, there are people in the world who believe that “being true to yourself” or “standing up for what you believe” is the same as being a well-informed participant in the discussion. This is not true. Rosie is proof.

Elizabeth obviously had nothing to really say on the topic, because if she did she would not have to use the dame "Trump Card". Which apperantly back fired on her stupid ass. For someone defacing photos is really immature. I'm guessing Rosie is the only adult in that studio with something to say.

That air headed holier-than-thou christian makes me want to puke. The ignorant single-mindedness of religion is the biggest reason I left christianity behind and am not a proud athiest. How can one possibly believe what was written thousands of years ago, when you can hardly believe what is written or said today as it pertains to theology. RELIGION IS A CRUTCH. People cannot bear the thought of ceasing to exist (like everything else in nature),and that is why religion came to fruition.
