Rosie O'Donnell's Anti War Message

Chatter queen Rosie O'Donnell has done it again! She might not be on your TV set stirring up some drama but no worries these days the internet is good enough. Rosie posted a picture of her 4-year-old daughter Vivi wearing a toy bullet belt which made many rage with anger.

We all know Rosie has been an outspoken critic of the war and proponent of gun control but were these pictures out of hand? The headline for the post was "a picture is worth a thousand posts" and she definitely got a thousand posts telling her off.

Although many readers believed the bullets were real, they in fact are not. Rosie revealed to People magazine, "Her kids were playing soldier and she took a picture. That's it." In response to the readers message, Rosie posted a video of her daughter entitled “dress up”.

The clip lasts 85 seconds and opens with a title, "last year a princess" and shows photos of the little girl in girly attire as Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" plays. Within 50 seconds of the video messages move across screen that says “this year a soldier" and later "peace out." The ending is a close up of her daughter's eye. Sounds like dress up to me with a new twist.

Has Rosie lost her marbles? We get the whole make your point deal but is it necessary to involve your 4 year old daughter? Wonder what two people think about this issue Donald Trump and Elisabeth Hasselback!

Rosie is nothing more than an idiot. She has a very big mouth and thinks she has all of the answers to whatever problems. It is disturbing dressing your child up like a suicide bomber.Yes,she has the freedom to choose to do this. However, Rosie is a hypocrite. She's gone off on guns for years, claiming Columbine threw her into the depression she now deals with.I didn't buy it then, and I don't buy it now, she knew dressing this child up like a suicide bomber and putting it on her blog would cause a controversy. She wants and needs to have her name and viewpoints commented on.Rosie is the proverbial bully type. They are in your face and if you stand up to them, they run with their tails between their legs just waiting for another opportunity.Yes, Rosie is depressed, but it's not Columbine that did it. People fear looking at the truth in their reality so much that they immediately blame O'Donnell and assume she was "using her daughter" to make a point. Haven't you ever played soldier when you were a kid? I have. Have your parents ever taken pictures of you when you play? Mine have. So, what...is...the...BIG...DEAL??? Are you too comfortable in your illusion that the thought of looking at the truth for 1 second through the eye of an innocent child scares the heck out of you? Is that it? And what if O'Donnell did use her daughter to make a point? Why are you crying foul now when the government has been doing the same thing, using your own flesh and blood and sending them to their deaths WITHOUT SHOWING YOU ANY PITCURE? This is so typical of you so-called "patriots". It is indeed very telling that this picture creates more uproar in you than the deaths of the thousands of young american soldiers who have already perished innocently in this war, while your leaders play cowboys and indians with their lives, and with REAL guns and bullets. The media has not shown you pictures of their deaths for those pulling the strings know full well the effect it would have on you. But not showing them does not mean the atrocity has not happened. America's "patriots" have got to be the most dumbed down and brainwashed people in the entire world to not be able to taste the lies in the excrement that's being fed to them on a daily basis. its fine to play dress up, with princess clothes and pirate outfits. if this woman wants to make a statement about HER feelings of the war she shouldn't use her DAUGHTER. if she wanted to make a statement so badly maybe she should have dressed herself up in a soldiers outfit. when i said that this is what our children were facing in their future, i meant more war - not children in arms. just to clarify. it's true and proven that war only begets war. hate only produces hate, and meddling only opends the door for retaliation. we need to be focusing on us, our country and our lives instead of trying to fix the world. lord knows our nation has enough problems as it as. I support our troops 100%. i do not support this war.

Loo loo - I for one disagree. Say what you want about the war. But our children will not fact this kind of future. That's absurd. The only reason that children in Iraq are used as pawns in the war is because the fundamentalists are crazy. This photo shows a lack of respect to her daughter and to our troops.

i think it is thought provoking and she has every right to take pictures of her child playing "soldiers" if she wants. even if she dressed her up, so what? now people are gonna claim child-abuse? gimme a break. she's making a statement, and i back her. people should be more concerned with the message, not the pic. the war we are in is WRONG. and to be totally honest, the way our country is being run, this image isn't a far cry from the future or children are facing if we keep meddling. the fact is that rosie has the constitutional right to freedom of speech. she's fully in her rights to exoress herself however she pleases.; i think what upsets people is the blatent truth, and their inability to accept reality.
