Rosie Getting New TV Show

Rosie O'Donnell

The always interesting Rosie O'Donnell might be getting her own show on MSNBC, the New York Times reports.

Rumor on the block is that she might fill in the 9:00PM time slot to go against CNN's Larry King Live.

Although there is no official confirmation Rosie's got everyone buzzing.

Wow! What a surprise. Americans are sick of Rosie. Is this cause she calls your admin as it is? Is this cause your prez ( that's laughable) should be up on war crimes? Rosie is like one of the only american celebs that will actually stand up and say something. Fu--'n Americans!

Fluffy grow up. The issues are a lot more complicated than hatemongers like you make them seem.

I can think of only two types of shows MSNBC could use her for: an interview show like Larry King's, or a comment show more like Keith Olbermann's. Either way, she's not a great choice. There are countless people who would be better at interviews (Phil Donahue, for example), and there are so many people in broadcasting who are way better at commentary (Rachel Maddow of Air America, for example). Clearly MSNBC wants a liberal, but it doesn't have to be Rosie.

I might add that I am a Rosie fan. I just don't think she's a good fit for MSNBC.
