Rosie Finally Heads Back To TV

Rosie O'Donnell can stop video blogging for a little while because she's finally heading back to primetime television. NBC has officially announced they'll air Rosie's Variety Show on November 26th, the night before Thanksgiving. If ratings are decent, she'll get the greenlight for more episodes.

Rosie says of the opportunity, "This is a dream come true for any performer. Old time variety, live from New York with a nod to Ed Sullivan, Carol Burnett and memories of Sonny and Cher."

The show will be a live variety show consisting of music, comedy, audience give-aways, and of course, Ro-ro doing what she does best, talking! NBC vp alternative Craig Plestis says, "This will reinvent the idea of what a variety show is for 2008. There's very few performers willing to put themselves out there live. It makes it more TiVo-proof, and it's something none of the cable networks can do."
