Somewhere, Donald Trump is celebrating, combing that onion loaf with an extra-smug smile.
Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network has decided to cancel Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show, The Rosie Show. The show was supposed to be reminiscent of her past daytime talk show, which aired from 1996-2002, but viewers just weren’t tuning in.
“I thank Rosie from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey,” Winfrey said in the announcement. Rosie said of the cancellation: “I wish the show was able to attract more viewers, but it did not.”
The last episode of The Rosie Show will air next Friday, March 30.
Donald Trump has had an ongoing feud with Rosie since early 2007, when he called her disgusting and a truck driver. Needless to say, he’s happy about the news.
“Rosie fails at everything,” Trump said today during a call-in to “Fox and Friends.”
“Frankly, that was just going to happen. I knew it immediately when they announced it,” he continued.
So what does Donald think is in store for Rosie’s future?
“Some moron will come and hire her again to do something else and that will fail. At some point, let her rest. Let her go away.”
If you really read between the lines, I think Donald Trump doesn’t like Rosie O’Donnell.
To be fair, Rosie doesn’t fail at everything. The talk show host did when multiple Emmys for her earlier daytime talk show.
And while one of Rosie’s former staffers called working for her a “f-cking hellhole,” another source said: “Rosie’s a great person. She’s a great talent. If folks have other opinions, that’s fine, but I would work with her again in a heartbeat.”
