Word around the water cooler is that NBC’s “Whitney” star Whitney Cummings nabbed herself a new talk show “Love You, Mean It With Whitney Cummings.”

Now, you may be asking yourself, “Whitney??” and “Didn’t that show get terrible ratings?” and “Wasn’t it just all around abysmal?”

Well, yes… But maybe television execs aren’t as hollow-headed as we’d like to think.

Cummings will join a long list of comediennes-turned talk show hosts, some of whom were quite successful in the endeavor.

Let’s take a look at the roster.
After Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show was cancelled, Hollywood’s schoolyard bully, Donald Trump, said he knew she was going to fail. Of course he did.

“Rosie fails at everything,” Trump claimed.

Their feud has been ongoing since 2006, when he called Rosie “disgusting,” “overweight,” and “unattractive both inside and out.”

Rosie is certainly not the only person the Donald has made the target of his bullying. Pretty much anyone who happens to be trending on Google has been the object of his scathing tongue. Here are just a few celebs who have been slammed by Donald Trump: Hollywood’s Ultimate Bully.

Martha Stewart: In 2005, Martha Stewart landed her own spin-off of Trump’s staple, The Apprentice. The Donald was not pleased. The outspoken Oompa-Loompa wrote Martha a nasty letter:
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
While everyone is still reeling from Oprah canceling Rosie O'Donnell's show, because I know we all watched and loved that show, TMZ has learned that Oprah has fired 10 staffers from the Oprah Winfrey Network today.

Two of those fired were high-level execs including the creative services department, integrated marketing and promo scheduling.

Basically, it wasn't like she fired the doorman and the guy who goes on Starbucks runs.
Somewhere, Donald Trump is celebrating, combing that onion loaf with an extra-smug smile.

Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network has decided to cancel Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show, The Rosie Show. The show was supposed to be reminiscent of her past daytime talk show, which aired from 1996-2002, but viewers just weren’t tuning in.

“I thank Rosie from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey,” Winfrey said in the announcement.
After meeting at a Starbucks earlier this year, Rosie O’Donnell and girlfriend Michelle Rounds have decided to tie the knot.

See, singles? It is possible to meet people at Starbucks. As long as you’re looking for aspiring screenwriters, broke college students too poor to pay for their own Internet, or Rosie O’Donnell.

The 49 year-old announced the news to her Rosie Show studio audience on Friday that the pair will exchange vows over Christmas. Rosie and Michelle have had a whirlwind romance, making their public debut just a few months ago, in September. Michelle is a corporate head-hunter for a New York technology company, and according to friends, she and Rosie are “very, very happy.”
You know you’ve made it in Hollywood when Donald Trump picks a feud with you. Donald Trump is like that kid in grade school that was starved for attention and would creepily watch everyone from his tree house, then pop out from nowhere and slam you.

From Martha Stewart to Charlie Sheen, The Donald seems to watch the world from his underground lair, and then chooses to fight with whoever is trending on Google. Finally, after picking on President Obama, Trump was put in his place.

But don’t worry, Trump always finds a way to save face and maintain his biggest fan—himself. He has a long history of speaking his mind, not considering about how it will affect others, and then being “very proud of himself”.

In 2005, Donald Trump wrote Martha Stewart a scathing letter after she had her own spin-off of The Apprentice:<
On her Sirius XM radio show, Rosie O'Donnell defended Chris Brown, saying she “felt mildly angry at Robin Roberts.”

“I don’t know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anybody else,” O’Donnell said.

Has Rosie not seen the pictures of Rihanna’s face from that beating? Because I’m pretty sure we’re all expected to live up to the standard of not making someone look that way.

O’Donnell said she felt like calling Robin Roberts and asking if she could take a second look at the situation to see how she was responsible. O’Donnell later tweeted that Chris Brown was a victim, too.

I’m really not getting how Chris Brown is a victim, though everyone sure seems hell-bent on it. What’s he a victim of, negative publicity? Sorry, I think I’m all out of f-cks to give. You don’t want people to hate you? Probably try not bashing someone’s face in. Maybe?

Rosie then continued, saying,

“Part of me wanted to take a chair and throw it through the window at The View after all that happened. But, you know, there are no windows down there in that rat-infested cellar. It was like prison.”

It’s hard to take her defense of Chris Brown seriously when she calls a million dollar, totally voluntary job, “prison”. I’d keep going about how ridiculous that is, but frankly, I’m afraid Rosie is going to kick my ass.

Rosie O'Donnell announced today via her blog that she may be facing a battle with breast cancer.

Rosie wrote one of her signature haikus to describe what she’s going through, which you can read here.

She explains that doctors found two lumps in her breasts last week, and they are currently being biopsied. She insists to her fans that the doctors say it’s "probably nothing."

But what’s scary is that her own mother died of breast cancer at age 39. Rosie herself had a lump removed at the age of 30 as well.

Take a look at Rosie’s piece—it’s pretty powerful.

We’re all keeping her in our thoughts…story developing…
What the hell was Oprah thinking? First she allegedly rigs her own win your OWN show concert and then she gives Rosie O'Donnell a show?! She's gone mad!

Rosie announced that Oprah has agreed to give her own show on the new O network, and get this, it'll be a one-hour talk show! ugh.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network,” O’Donnell said in a statement released Thursday. “I’m excited to be back on daytime television.”

Oprah released her own statement added, “Rosie is an undeniable talent who has captivated TV audiences for nearly 20 years. She’s a true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does.”

Rosie is so damn annoying who would willingly watch her for an hour a day?! Would you tune in?

With American Idol ending next week and Simon Cowell leaving after this season, the question on everyone’s minds is: Who is going to take over the infamous judge’s seat?

Simon’s made a name for himself as the stern--yet fair--judge on Idol, and finding his successor will likely be a much bigger challenge for show execs than replacing Paula Abdul. Here is Hollyscoop's list for the top ten people we wouldn't mind seeing fill Cowell's shoes.
