Pulp Fiction screenwriter and Oscar winner Roger Avary has just been slapped with a huge wake-up call! Avary has just been sentenced to a year in jail for causing a fatal car accident in Ventura County, California.
He pleaded guilty in August to gross vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving for the 2008 crash that killed a passenger in Avary's Mercedes.
Authorities say Avary's car was traveling at more than 100 mph when it crashed into a telephone pole. Avary's wife was ejected from the vehicle and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A year in prison may sound like a long time, but drunk drivers like this guy need to learn their lesson! For more on this story, visit Popeater.
