Robin Wright Penn: Divorce Will Help Me Focus on my Career

Robin Wright Penn is on her way to being a single woman. Her yo-yo marriage to Sean Penn is finally coming to an end, after they broke up and got back together several times, before finally deciding to split for good.

Robin filed for divorce from Sean Penn in August, citing irreconcilable differences, and says now she will have more time to focus on her career and her children.

In an interview with Redbook, Robin said, "I turned down so many films because I wanted to be a mom that they stopped offering. I gave up a lot for my kids, but I didn't give up...I'm very content with the way it all turned out."

"I have no regrets for my life that has been lived. New beginnings, definitely. For me, my career too. My kids are older now."

One thing Robin isn’t happy about is the media coverage of her divorce. She says, "It never feels good. Yes, it's divorce; it's a given that it will be public. But...it's so disrespectful. It's like, 'You're an actress, you owe us this?' 'F--- you' is what I say."
