Robin Williams was hospitalized in South Florida on Wednesday after complaining about his heart.
According to the LA Times, Williams is currently being held in the ICU, but other reports that said he wasn't.
Williams was admitted because he started complaining from shortness of breath.
Williams is in South Florida because he had four scheduled performances of his "Weapons of Self Destruction" show but his doctor advised him to get a week of rest after evaluating him.
The funnyman doesn’t like to rest! He has been on an 80-city tour since September, which is definitely not an easy thing to do, especially at his age.
After getting the weeklong rest he desperately needs, he will be back on stage on Monday in Jacksonville, Fla.
UPDATE:
Williams' rep released a statement saying that Robin will have "to undergo surgery for an aortic valve replacement."
Williams also released the following statement:
"I'm so touched by everyone's support and well wishes. This tour has been amazing fun and I can't wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up."
