This rumor just won't go away! For the last few months, there’s been a lot of gossip about the Pussycat Dolls breaking up.

Earlier today The New York Post's Page Six reported that the girls were no longer on speaking terms with Nicole Scherzinger, but Hollyscoop can confirm exclusively that there is no truth to the rumors.

"The Pussycat Dolls are very much ALIVE and there is NO truth to the silent treatment statements," Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin tells Hollyscoop exclusively.

"Nicole and the Dolls have ALWAYS been close. Nicole is and always has been a strong creative force within this group and I cherish the way we collaborate."

The statement continued, "The Pussycat Dolls have proven their success over many years and will continue to do so. The PCD brand has evolved and has continuously grown since day one so look out for new music, new concepts, new faces and more hit songs!"

So there you have it straight from the source, the PCD aren't splitting up! Hopefully Robin's statement can finally put a rest to those pesky rumors!

The Pussycat Dolls have been dodging breakup rumors for months. Are they really over? Are they just taking a break? PCD's fans have been left with a ton of unanswered questions, but Melody Thornton has addressed the rumors and is clearing up the reports to Hollyscoop exclusively.

"The Dolls are on a break and I'm really excited about it," Thornton tells Hollyscoop exclusively at the Hollywood Style Awards in Westwood on Sunday night.

Thornton added, "People have been asking crazy questions like 'does that mean a break forever?' We needed a break. We needed a break from each other and the Dolls. We needed a chance to go and work on our own, and be excited and happy about our own lives and sleep in if we need too."

When rumors of the breakup first emerged, PCD founder Robin Antin assured fans that the group wasn't going anywhere.

"If the Pussycat Dolls are breaking up, you’re going to hear it from me because its my group and I am the one that says they're breaking up…they’re not breaking up," Robin told Hollyscoop exclusively back in August.

Robin also touched upon a statement made by Melody Thornton, who made her feelings known on stage in her native Phoenix, Arizona in April. As each Doll introduced herself, Melody said: “I want to give a shout out to my family. Thank you for supporting me...even though I'm not featured. Don't give up on your dreams. Don't let anybody stop you - ever.”

Robin says of Melody’s outburst, “Her choice of words I think were probably not completely right in terms of the messages she was trying to get out there. I understand what she was trying to say—all the girls will always try to say something and try to put it in the best possible way as they can. Sometimes it will be taken in another way.”

So what has Thornton been doing with her free time now that she's no longer apart of the Dolls full time? "I've been working on my own music and this is giving me the opportunity to do a lot of things," she said.

It's clear that Thornton and the other girls are upset about how little face time they've been getting, so perhaps a break from the group is the best thing for them right now. What do you think about the girls taking a break to pursue their own careers? Do you think Nicole got too much face time while with the Dolls?
