Rob Pattinson owes his career to Valium. No, really, the anti-anxiety medication helped him get his Twilight gig!
During an interview with Dateline on Monday Rob said he would never have landed the lead of Edward Cullen if he hadn't popped a pill (or two) before his first audition.
Rob Pattinson: I'm Going to Die at 30
He said, "I knew it was going to be a long audition because I was doing a screen test for it, and it was at the director's house. Twenty minutes before I had to leave (for it), I just suddenly started panicking."
He took a few Valium's from the friend he was staying with. Pattinson adds, "(It was) probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. I remember thinking that even when I was in the cab on the way over there. I was thinking, 'I want to get a prescription for these.'"
Rob should keep those secrets to himself...unless he wants Dr. Drew coming after him for the next season of Celebrity Rehab!
