Charlie Hunnam announced that he has dropped out of the lead role in the Fifty Shades of Grey flick because he’s too busy filming his TV series, “Sons of Anarchy.”
We heard rumors that it was actually because he didn’t like the script, but apparently Charlie’s biggest fear is that IF he did the film, he’d end up like Robert Pattinson and Charlie does NOT want that at all.
“He dropped out of the project because he didn’t want to be typecast,” a source tells People, “He didn’t want the Robert Pattinson-esque attention that would come along with taking on this role.”
He’s probably referring to the fact that RPatz is so famous from Twilight that he’s afraid to leave his house, afraid to trust anyone, and has to stop for photos with fans anytime he goes any place where women are present.
We're not sure why it took Charlie this long to figure it out. Maybe he personally talked to RPatz about it?
