An insider told the Popeater.com, “Charlie has become too big a risk to not have a backup plan in case he has another incident and forces production to be shut down."
Too big a risk is right. After his recent meltdown, CBS stock dropped about 7 percent, and CBS had to charge their advertisers an additional $50,000 to make up for it.
I think when Charlie Sheen’s addictions have a bigger impact on the economy than the recession, that makes a huge statement about the country we live in. And that statement is, we love our f-cking television! Hell yeah! U-S-A!!
Now the question is, can a hit show still survive without the celebrity who plays the very character that’s based on him? Focus groups are saying, yes.
"Would the show take a big hit? Yes, but if they found the right person to replace him it would survive and maybe even grow,” says an insider.
But who could CBS go with to make the transition as smooth as possible? Play TV exec and tells us, who would be the best Charlie Sheen replacement?

Madonna's name has been mentioned more than any other celebrity in UK prints in the last ten years, with 46,017 name checks.
Madonna's divorce from Guy Richie, her relationships with boy toys like Jesus Luz and Brahim Zaibat, the birth of her son Rocco, her adoption of David and Mercy, and four huge world tours definitely kept the press talking.
Brian Merron of researcher Kantar Media , who compiled the figures, wasn't surprised by the outcome. He said: "This is why she's hailed as a legend."
Other celebrities to feature in the list included Kate Moss, Britney Spears, Victoria and David Beckham, the late Michael Jackson, Sir Paul McCartney and Kylie Minogue.

Robbie teamed up with United Nations children's organization UNICEF for a visit to the country and was heartbroken when he saw how many children were left without parents.
He says, "I went with UNICEF and it is by far the worst place I've ever visited. I wanted to adopt straight away.
"I'll probably have a couple and then adopt a couple too. It's something we've talked about. When you go to somewhere like Haiti it does make you feel like you want to help. It's the instant guilt thing you get when you go out there.
He continued, "It's awful what has happened. Working with kids has made me want to have them. It's on the horizon. I don't know when. I've got a few things I want to do before that happens."

Field, an actress, was spotted wearing her sparkler shortly after he popped the question. According to the Daily Star, Williams wants to make things official as soon as possible.
A source tells the newspaper, "Robbie doesn't want to have a long, drawn-out engagement. When he gets something in his head, there's no stopping him.”
And it sounds like Robbie has everything taken care of! The source continues, "He's asked all his friends and family to keep the entire week free leading up to February 14th, so they can have a week-long celebration before Valentine's Day. He has asked best friend Jonathan Wilkes to be best man and it's likely his old band mates from Take That will perform."
Talk about a fun wedding! That gives new meaning to the wedding singer! We wish Robbie and Ayda the best of luck in planning!

Robbie, who was once an infamous womanizer, says he simply can't wait to start a family with Ayda.
He told The UK Sun newspaper: “I was always thinking, ‘How am I going to keep the old chap in the pants?’ But Ayda and me are very loved up – kids on the way and all that business.
“Ayda wants to get married. I believe that I want to make her happy. I’ve kind of been putting back the children thing, but that will happen in the next couple of years.”
Robbie admits that shopping for his dream home is what got him thinking about children. He explained: “We went to Wiltshire and Ayda and I were looking at places to rent there. Then we saw this house and it was gorgeous. And we walked in and the thought of having kids just hit us.
“We can see the kids running around the halls and all that business. We did a proper impulse buy.”
Wow he's certainly come a long way since his bachelor days. It's hard envisioning Robbie as a father, but we're sure he'll make a great one.

Here's how it all went down: Robbie was photographed by two paparazzi's smoking a large roll-up cigarette on a jet ski at the beach. When his entourage realized the paps were taking photos, they got really pissed and there was a huge confrontation.
That same night at about 3AM, three masked gunmen broke into the huts of the paparazzi, held guns to their heads and threatened to kill them. The gunmen stole their cameras, clothes, travel documents and cash. And of course the memory chips inside the cameras. Coincidence?!
Police are investigating whether the robbers knew about the fight over the pictures, and are interviewing a number of witnesses, including Robbie. Bahamas police chief Ellsworth Moss insisted Robbie is not a suspect in the crime, but will be questioned as an eyewitness.
He said: "We are in the process of speaking to Robbie Williams. I sent a team of officers from Nassau to the island and I am waiting for them to report back to me.
"They are going to speak to everybody who would have been party to whatever may or may not have happened on the beach. From the information we get from him we will know exactly where to move with the investigation."

"It was at Shelley's [nightclub] where I had my first acid experience. We were in Golden Hill, in someone's kitchen probably," he wrote on his blog.
"I was given a tiny piece of paper to ingest. E's were too expensive for the Potteries. £15 - who could afford that? There was a band called The Prodigy performing that night and I thought they were really good.
"Afterwards we drove up to the garage and the police were on the forecourt. S**t, I thought. I want to go home, I'm scared. There is only one place I want to be - at home with my mum.
"So I decided to go downstairs and stab myself. Mum came out of her room and said, 'What are you doing?' I'm just going downstairs to stab myself – do you want a cup of tea?" the singer then told his mother.
Luckily his mother talked him out of it and he lived to see another day. We're pretty sure that was the last time he experimented with the drug. It probably scared the daylights out of him!

According to the UK Sun, the Mediterranean-style house sits on almost two acres and has seven bathrooms, a guest house, separate staff quarters and a huge terrace. It also boasts fountains, a pool, spa, and grand two-storey entrance.
If he ever needs a cup of sugar he can just go over to one of his many celebrity neighbors houses for some. Rod Stewart, Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy and Sylvester Stallone all live in the same gated community. Not too shabby Robbie!

A source tells the publication, "Ayda was attracted to Rob as he is vastly different to the average L.A. guy she is accustomed to, but in the end this was exactly what ended their relationship; he's too different.
"He gave their relationship a serious go, but it was really the fact they weren't on the same page in terms of where their lives are going. Golfing, hiking and a craving for privacy aren't what an aspiring 28-year-old actress wants or needs."

Oh oh, another one bites the dust! Robin Williams’ wife of 19 years Marsha Williams has filed for divorce.
They got married back in 1989. That’s like a hundred years in Hollywood time.
Does this mean we’re gonna be seeing Robin hanging with Petra Nemcova now that he’s part of the newly divorced crew? She does have the track record to date newly divorcees.
