Rob Pattinson to Quit Acting?

Say it ain't so! Going from a relatively unknown actor to an international star overnight, Rob Pattinson has found himself a little confused about life.

He literally feels like one day he was just some regular guy auditioning for roles, and now he can't get a cup of coffee without 400 girls screaming and running after him. And that can get old real quick.

Speaking to Seventeen magazine, Rob said he's not sure how much longer he'll act. He said, "I don't even know if I want to be an actor that long. I don't even know how to be someone else... if I start doing lame work, I'm not going to stick around and do it!"

Good news is he's not going anywhere anytime soon because he's still under contract to basically finish the Twilight franchise, but what will Rob do once Edward Cullen is done?

Sure, he's a great actor and he'll land tons of other parts, but it's hard to look at RPats and not think of Edward, right?

Get over the hygene thing -- it was a comment made in jest that has been clarified dozens of times. The original statement was something along the lines of: if he stopped bathing maybe it would keep the overwhelming hoards of fans away. ALICEV & SISSIDELYON: I agree completely. He has potential to be a good actor, and if he wants to be discriminating, well, more the power to him. Personal pet peeve: People who assume that actors are in the business to be ludicrously famous. What's wrong with just loving your work? There are a lot of actors out there who will never receive this level of fame and are still quite happy to act. How would you feel if you couldn't get groceries, go to the movies, do anything without a mass of (generalism here) shallow, hysterical, teenagers screaming after a fictional character that they don't seperate from the real person! Let's face it, how much do you really know about Robert Pattinson, the man, not the actor? The overwhelming fame he's dealing with now, IMHO, is more for Edward Cullen than Robert Pattinson. And that just has to suck. If I were to become famous, I'd rather it be for something real -- like acting ABILITY, not one role.

His life won't be crazy like this all the time. If he does some good roles between the Twilight movies and picks good roles after, he can have a good career and more privacy. Sissidelyon was right, Johnny Depp did it. Rob can too.

I hope he finds his footing in life. If he doesn't continue acting he always has his great music to focus on, which he said was something he really enjoys and thats what lifes about finding something you enjoy doing and do it.

Robert Pattinson = Edward Cullen? As long as the twilight saga in on, it will probably be the case. However, I remember ages ago, Johnny Depp = Tom Hanson in 21st Jump Street... He took time off to rest and do other things and he came back, and everyone knows what a fantastic actor he is today, choosing the right parts, taking risks. Rob is an amazing actor. He has got plenty of time to think of the road he wants to take, whether it be music or movies. I guess he must be exhausted by Twilight and all the crazyness around it... Patience Boy, it's nearly over... Girls will pass on to somebody else and you'll get your life back... Will only remain the real fans who see in him a great actor, beautiful karma, and breathtaking smile who played Edward Cullen, and other things.... He will surely disappear for a while and come back if he feels like it.... His life ! His decision ! Isn't it better to go before becoming one of those has-beens?
