The actor most recently starred in a Lifetime flick playing Drew Peterson, the man charged with the death of his ex-wife, so clearly Rob Lowe is King when it comes to TV movie adaptations of high-profile murder cases.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the Casey Anthony biopic has a working title of “Prosecuting Casey Anthony,” and will be told from the perspective of Jeff Ashton, Lowe’s character.

Rob Lowe just wrapped up two days of guest hosting with Kelly Ripa on ‘Live With ____ and Kelly’. (Since Regis left the show, there’s been a gaping hole we’re all wondering who will end up filling.)
Turns out, Robe Lowe might end up filling that hole. I should really think of another way of saying that sentence. But I won’t.

Rob has teamed up with construction mogul Rob Tutor, mogul Tom Barrack, Formula One player Flavio Briatore (Heidi Klum's baby daddy) and Giuseppe Cipriani (owner of Cipriani restaurant) to buy Miramax Films and create "a multi-platform media company, similar to DreamWorks."
Yes, you read correctly...Rob Lowe is considering buying a movie studio!
The deal is reportedly close to being inked so Rob can be the owner of Miramax films as soon as end of business day.
These men are all prominent business men, but what's there connection to making films aside from Rob? And let's get real, Rob's more known for his bad boy image than his acting credits.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Maureen Duffy-Lewis on Friday denied Boyce's request to dismiss the Lowe's breach-of-contract suit against her. She also rejected Boyce's claim that the agreement infringed upon her first amendment rights.
Rob and Sheryl filed a complaint against the former nanny back in April of last year, alleging breach of contract, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and intentional misrepresentation.
This win for Rob is expected to set a precedent for celebrities and confidentiality agreements, and will allow them to continue to conduct their private lives the way they want to without having to worry about getting sued.
The Lowe's are going forward with their lawsuit against Boyce and two other ex-employees, claiming they’re victims of an attempted extortion scheme led by another former nanny, Jessica Gibson.
These nannies obviously just wanted money from the Lowe's and figured they could cry wolf and quietly get paid off. Good thing the judge saw past it!

Unfortunately, a fire has broken out in Montecito, which is north of Los Angeles near Santa Barbara. The fast growing wildfire has been spreading and is in close proximity to many stars' homes.
Oprah, Rob Lowe, Michael Douglas, Ellen Degeneres, Kevin Costner and Jeff Bridges all own homes in the area, with Oprah's and Lowe's homes just one mile from other houses already destroyed in the fire.
All of the properties are close to the evacuation zone. They and all the families in that area are in our thoughts!

"We're very pleased with today's outcome," said Lowe's attorney Larry Stein. "The Lowes have consistently denied any wrongdoing and will be vindicated. The entire family is holding up the best they can."
Lowe's former nanny Jessica Gibson claims he groped her and exposed himself while she was working for the family. She put up with it for seven years before filing a lawsuit. Fishy fishy. Who do you believe?

Laura says Sheryl even used the "n" word to describe her boyfriend who was an NBA player.
Boyce accuses Sheryl of exposing herself and walking around naked constantly, and asking about her boyfriend's private parts and talked about Sheryl's sex life with Rob.
How messed up is that? After the first lawsuit, it was hard to imagine the situation was true. But after hearing the details of the second one, it seems some fishy may have been going on in the Lowe household!

He responded to the allegations that he sexually harassed his nanny by saying, "We live in a time where anybody can say anything about anybody. You want to defend your family! Now it's in the court system and potentially a criminal investigation. The support has been fantastic and really, really humbling."
Rob seems to be able to keep a positive attitude about the whole situation. "The whole thing is very sad. But the family's great, the boys are great. They are affected by it, but they're moving through it. My boys understand that being a celebrity sometimes exposes you to some really bad stuff and sometimes you get a VIP tour of Disneyland."

Gibson was with her lawyer, Gloria Allred(Britney's bodyguards lawyer) and they said that they filed a cross complaint in the SB County Superior Court. Nanny Gibson says that between 2005 and 2008 Rob was being a knotty boy. To be exact he "placed his hand inside Gibson's pants in order to touch her crotch" and "grabbed Gibson's buttocks without consent."
The reason she apparently stayed at the job was because she "loved the children."
Rob's lawyer Larry Stein said in a statement that, "An investigation of dozens of present and former employees has failed to find one single person to verify her allegations. The allegations in the complaint are simply untrue."
