During Brown's court hearing on March 5, 2009 Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, told reporters, "She is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do," Etra said in a statement to the media.
"If she's required to. "She is planning to do everything that the law requires her to do," Etra said in a statement to the media. "If she is required to testify, she will do so."
Now sources close to the case say Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, wants the judge to give Rihanna a pass from testifying because of all the leaks in the case.
Both Geragos and Etra believe the leaks were a violation of her privacy rights and therefore she should not have to testify, reports TMZ.
Geragos already requested an unscheduled hearing on March 23rd, which will take place in Judge Schnegg’s chambers. His arraignment is set for April 6th.
