Rihanna’s $12 million mansion in Los Angeles was broken into, but luckily for the singer she wasn’t there and in harms way.
While in Australia this week, someone trespassed onto the property—burglars drove up onto the private road leading to her home, walked right into the backyard, and then threw a chair through a sliding glass door, law enforcements told TMZ.
That’s when an alarm went off, scaring off the attempted robbers, who fled the scene immediately without stepping into her home’s interior.
On-site video surveillance from cameras surrounding her home, however, is proving to be essential for police who can now try to ID the intruders and better search for them, TMZ learned.
Rihanna just has bad luck when it involves anything to do with her home—the girl is a one-woman HGTV reality TV show because this isn’t the first major issue she’s had. In February, a stalker tried breaking into her house. In June, a man creeped his way across her roof, and was caught by her security. Before that, she had a pesky issue with bees infesting her home. She even sued the owner of her former Beverly Hills home for defrauding her on its sale.
