Lena Dunham Blast Rihanna As Crappy Role Model

Lena Dunham, the woman who has made a healthy living out of portraying the females of her generation in television and film, has something to say to the multi-Grammy winner. And it ain’t pretty.

The topic came up during her appearance on Here’s the Thing, a podcast hosted by Alec Baldwin—Yes, Alec Baldwin has a podcast. I know…

When questioned on the responsibility of her mega-status, Lena compared the image that she is putting out versus that of Rihanna.

“I don’t want to ever throw stones from my glass house,” she said, “but I follow her [Rihanna] on Instagram and I just think about how many little girls beyond what I could even comprehend are obsessed with Rihanna.”

She added: “She’s talented. And then she gets back together with Chris Brown and posts a million pictures of them smoking marijuana together on a bed. And it cracks my heart in half in a way that makes me feel like I’m 95-years-old.”

In other words, Lena pretty much hit the nail on the head: Despite Rihanna's excessively self-destructive ways, we all continue to worship her and turn a blind eye to the problem.

On the other side of the argument, if you do want to introduce your kids to weed at an early age, Snoop DoggLion has agreed to help.

The rapper-turned-Rastafarian has announced that he wants to teach 8 and 9-year-olds the virtues of marijuana, pulling from his extensive experience on the subject.

So, yeah… Maybe Rihanna's weed pics on Instagram aren’t the worst thing ever, after all.
