Even criminal families need love sometimes too…
Renee Graziano, a cast member of the VH1 reality show “Mob Wives,” has checked herself into rehab. The daughter of known gangster Anthony “TG” Graziano has reported been admitted to Transitions facility in Miami as of Monday.
Although there are conflicting reports, it seems the reason for the rehab visit is likely prescription pills.
A source told the New York Post that Graziano "has had issues with pills in the past but she was clean when she went in on Monday.”
In addition, a rep for the reality star released the following statement to the news source:
“Although Renee Graziano has been admitted to a rehabilitation center, it is not for any current drug or alcohol use of any kind. Her choice to enter rehab was made entirely on her own. She has made this decision for the betterment of her son AJ [Pagan]’s life, as well as to improve her physical, mental and spiritual health.”
But just because Renee is off the mean streets doesn’t mean that the cameras will stop rolling.
According to the report, VH1 camera crews will follow the starlet into the rehab halls, telling the story of the down on her luck mafia daughter in Season 3.
I smell a publicity stunt…
Renee is expected to stay in the facility for a total of 30 days.
Unfortunately for the 42-year-old, this isn’t the only case of severe drama to put a hit on her life.
Last November, Renee's ex-husband Hector “Junior” Pagan was arrested for a weapons charge, which was followed closely by her father getting nabbed for a related extortion charge.
And before that, she was the victim of a failed “full-body lift” that reportedly nearly killed her. The incident caused a defamation lawsuit filed by her surgeon Dr. Andrew Klapper.
Side note: Who gets surgery from a guy named Klapper?
While it’s all a sad situation, it certainly makes for good TV! “Mob Wives” returns in early 2013.
