It's always great to hear about celebrities who are willing to donate their time (and famous names) to charities that can benefit those who are less fortunate.
New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, who was in Tampa, FL. this past weekend attending to Superbowl duties, confessed that while he took some time off to recover from a knee injury, he was busy planning a Philanthropic trip to Africa.
"I actually want to go there because I've never been there, I want to go do some charity stuff and help out," Reggie told Hollyscoop exclusively at DirectTV 3rd Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl at Progress Energy Park in St Petersburg Florida.
He added, "It's always good to do that and see different parts of the world. I think it humbles you a little bit when you go to different parts of the world, and you appreciate where you come from."
Just last month his girlfriend Kim Kardashian confessed to Hollyscoop that her and beau Reggie were planning a trip soon. She said, "I never have [been to Africa]. Definitely planning a trip. Reggie and I are planning a trip to go with Russell and his foundation to South Africa and Russell Simmons inspires me so much with his stories from South Africa."
Now this is a trip we'd like to see the E! cameras follow. No more Robertson Blvd! For more information about Russell's Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F.), which is a non-profit educational empowerment program, check out his official site at diamondempowerment.org.
