Reese Witherspoon has had an amazing career as an actress thus far, and she doesn’t feel the need to do nudity in her films. In fact, she’s made it a point not to strip down for roles for the sake of her children.
Reese has two adorable children, 9-year old Ava and 6-year old Deacon, and has vowed not to bare all for a movie to set a good example for them, but especially for her daughter.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Reese said,
"I've always been choosing roles knowing that I have a daughter and I have a responsibility to her and to the world to be representing women of strength. These are the women I know in life.
"I think it's a natural extension of parenthood for you to feel like you’re responsible for the worlds you create, whether they be silly or serious. I think you are responsible for the art you put in the world."
Reese says Ava and Deacon are always commenting on how “embarrassing” she is. Reese says they tell her, “Mom, you're being really stupid.”
Funny enough, Reese says she got the most respect from her kids when she voiced the character of Susan in Monsters Vs. Aliens. Reese says, "When Monsters vs. Aliens came out Ava told me I'm the coolest mom in the third grade. I said ‘can you put it on a piece of paper and sign it for me please’. I was cool once."
Kids will be kids! We applaud Reese for putting her children first! She’s still had an amazing career without having to sacrifice her beliefs.
