After months of anticipation, Reese Witherspoon has finally given birth to her third child. Her son, Tennessee James Toth, arrived promply on Thursday, September 27.
Hollyscoop has been in touch with Reese’s rep, who released a statement confirming the news.
"Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth welcomed Tennessee James into their family today,” the rep said. “Both mom and baby are healthy and the entire family is thrilled."
This is the first child for the actress and Toth…
The couple of married in March of last year. The ceremony was held at Reese’s 1920s ranch estate which featured “timeless California architecture, rustic materials and beautiful gardens.”
“Right after the wedding, Reese expressed a desire to have a baby with Jim,” a source told People. “Reese has been very open with her kids about her plans to expand the family.”
Tennessee – get used to saying that! – is a healthy new addition to an already vigorous family. Reese has two other children, Ava, 13, and Deacon, 8, with previous husband Ryan Phillippe.
Witherspoon and Phillippe divorced in 2008 after nine years of marriage.
“Frankly, I’m feeling very round,” she said about her pregnancy earlier this summer.
We first caught wind of Reese’s baby bump at the Cannes Film Festival this year, after the actress tried her best to keep the pregnancy under wraps.
She was last seen in August, still sporting her baby bump, which was already in full bloom… At the time, she was reportedly rushed to the hospital with complications…
But today, mom and son are happy and healthy, and we can only imagagine that Reese is beaming with pride…
Congrats to Reese and Jim and the new man in their life!
