That relationship sure fizzled out quickly! Reese Witherspoon and her beau Jake Gyllenhaal have called it quits after just a few months of dating according to Us Weekly.

“She has either called it off or is just taking a break,” says a Witherspoon source.

“She cares for Jake, but the timing is crappy,” says the insider. “She doesn’t have enough emotional space for him right now.”

Although we were rooting for the couple, it didn't seem like they were too into each other. We never saw them together; it was always tales of them meeting up at restaurants or his apartment. Nothing more, nothing less. Maybe the media over speculated the entire relationship. Who knows? Its not single sided though; a source says that Gyllenhaal recently told a buddy: “I’m single.”

He ain't too good for her! But it would of been nice if both of them were able to be together well hopefully if they didn't break up to have time for themselves then hopefully she finds someone who cares about her also Jake.

That "emotional time" stuff is such a bunch of crap. If a woman really likes a guy, she'll make time for him and vice versa. Why can't anyone just say, "This isn't working and I feel it'd be best if we broke up" ?
