San Fransisco's gossip blog, The Daily Dish, is reporting that Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are engaged!
That was fast… They say that Jake proposed to Reese way back when they had that much-publicized trip to Rome together, but that Reese said no because it was too soon after her divorce from Ryan Phillippe.
Jake was just seen with his sis Maggie picking trying to pick out a ring at Cartier for Reese, and ended up buying a white gold "Love" necklace featuring two rings intertwined.
Sources say that Jake knew Reese wouldn't accept his proposal but wanted to do it anyway to prove to her how serious he is about their relationship.
Reese was on the set of her new movie "Four Christmases" last night, with no sign of Jake or her new necklace. We'll have to pay close attention to that ring finger next time we see her.
