Redmond O'Neal Transferred to New Prison

Redmond O'Neal will be calling prison “home” for a long time. After already spending a month in a downtown Los Angeles jail, he was transferred today to a correctional facility in Santa Clarita, CA.

He’ll be there for an entire year to complete an intensive drug treatment. L.A. sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells People, "Apparently a judge wouldn't let him enter private rehab. He'll be in this new jail location but will be in a program there designed for addicts to get off drugs."

Hopefully this program will whip Redmond back into shape.

His drug problems are very extensive, and obviously regular rehab didn’t work the first time. Though it’s probably very hard on Farrah and Ryan, the judge definitely made the right decision in sending Redmond there.

We hope for the best for him. It’s for his own good!
